I attended a massive virtual event; here’s a sneak peak into the future
A skeptic’s view on the good, the bad, and the opportunities.
Last week I attended an event conference called Evolve 2.0, which was basically a virtual event about virtual events. I went by curiosity, and to learn more about strategies and technology for our own experiences. I won’t get in to the actual content of the talks, instead I will share my experience and give you a sneak peak on what a world filled with virtual events will look like. Because it’s not just coming soon. It’s already here.
The Platform
In this case, the platform utilized was Swapcard, which seemed to be in business for enough time to perfect a clean user experience. Since I haven’t been in any other proper virtual events, I can’t compare to other platforms in terms of interface, ease of use, and functionalities but by and large it seemed clean and easy to navigate. For any digital native, you can pretty much get the hang of it in just a few minutes.
